Nova Solus – Reefersleep →
inky:
Released my first album! It’s called Reefersleep and it looks something like this:
Dark ambient music inspired by space, both real and sci-fi. You can download it for €5 (approx. $6.30).
Just for this week, Tumblr followers can get 15% off with the promo code “reblogged” (subtle)!
The world needs more Dark Ambient.
gubr asked: Thank you for your Strict theme. How do I change the text directly under the title and in the sidebars?

My favorite Safari Extensions
I rarely use extensions or plug-ins on web browsers. I’m pretty satisfied with Safari and it’s functions, the only Safari-specific plug-in I used in Safari 4 was ClickToFlash, since Flash makes the fans on my MacBook Pro go so fast that it could fly away.
However, since Safari 5 has native support for extensions, I decided to take a look and see if there was anything interesting. I...

Trackify updates
Since we don’t have an official blog (yet), I’m posting the latest updates on our project Trackify here. For those who doesn’t know, Trackify transforms links from the swedish music service Spotify and extends the information about the music, with data from other services like Last.fm.
Changelog, 8th April 2010
Trackify is now optimized for iPhone Since the iPhone...

Tumblr is great
…and if you want to start blogging, any kind of blogging, you should totally use it. However, it seems like a lot of people forget that their blog is still a website. Most of your visitors may be Tumblr users using the dashboard, but there’s still people using RSS och just visiting your website.
So please try not to talk to the dashboard :)

The STRICT theme on tumblr, I would like to remove the words below the title. Is it possible?
As I said earlier, I’ll probably add a checkbox for it in a future update. However, it’s already now possible to change the theme however you want, all you need is some basic HTML knowledge. You’ll find the source code by pressing “Use custom HTML” under...

on your tumblr theme ‘strict’ is there any way to get rid of the text at the top, underneath the main title?
I’m planning to add more options to Strict in the near future. I get this question pretty often and it should be possible with the new features in Tumblr’s Theme API.

Any Cocoa developers here?
I’m currently trying to make an application for OS X with Objective-C and Cocoa. I’ve gotten started, but I’m a complete newbie when it comes to Obj-C and Cocoa so I get stuck every 5 minutes and right now I’m completely lost.
Since I’m a learning-by-doing person and information from tutorials seldom get stuck in my head, it would be great if someone could answer...
MGC2010
I just returned from an event in Stockholm called Mini Geek Camp 2010 (or MGC2010). It’s an event where young web developers team up and build some kind of web service from scratch during 48 hours.
My team built a site called Trackify. You could say that it converts Spotify’s HTTP-URLs into something more informative. If you have any feedback or suggestions for what kind of...

Things I miss in Mumble 1.2
So about a year ago I installed a server in my basement. Around the same time me and my friends started a guild in World of Warcraft, so I installed a Mumble server (or murmur as the server is called) so we could speak with each others, even though I was using a Mac.
Now the people behind Mumble have released a beta of Mumble 1.2 and I decided to try it out. First of all, I love that they...

Exposé no longer respects the relative sizes of...
finermac:
Although Exposé has been vastly improved in Snow Leopard, Apple did let go of one of its great qualities in doing so. Under Leopard, although the windows were haphazardly thrown together instead of being neatly organized in a grid, they were all displayed at relatively correct sizes. So if you had a long and narrow Safari window beside a shorter and wider one for Mail, they would...

Visual Differences between iTunes 8 and 9 →
maniacalrage:
I took a screenshot of iTunes 8 just before upgrading to version 9, so I was able to make a quick visual 1:1 comparison. Wowee is iTunes 9 sugary.
iTunes 9 mini-review
The UI in iTunes have always been a bit experimental, and I’ve never really cared. It has always somewhat matched the OS anyway. But iTunes 9 feels like if someone made a skinned Windows-application and ported it for OS X. Wrong gradient in the toolbar, weird buttons, overall too glossy.
I like the new icons in the sidebar.
The grid-view is white in iTunes 9. I guess I could live with...

My comments on the App Store rejections
Apple shouldn’t give a shit about content that aren’t included in the app, unless it’s obvious that the content isn’t legal (and by obvious I mean if the app is called “Ultimate iWarez Downloader).
Like Marco says in his post, there’s a lot of apps that could be used to violate third party rights, including the apps created by Apple.
The age-restriction-thingy...
